Charleston SUP Safaris is teaming up with Santos Tours (www.santostour.net) to offer this unique adventure and eco-tour to Costa Rica. We are offering an all inclusive one-week long package tour designed to present the best of what Costa Rica has to offer, in an environmentally sustainable, culturally responsible way with loads of adventure activities. We will be immersing ourselves in the culture and environment of Costa Rica, while moving from cloud forests and volcanoes, to the lush tropical rainforest and beaches of the coast to take part in many exciting activities in each location.
The tour involves 1-week in Paradise: Stand Up Paddleboarding in Manuel Antonio, tour of Manuel Antonio National Park, Sea Kayaking in Golfo Dulce, Extreme Forest Park-Canopy Tour in Santa Maria de Dota, Poas Volcano Tour, Coffee Plantation Tour, 4x4 Biodiesel Expedition: Mountains to Sea, Manuel Antonio National Park Tour, Chontal Jungle Lodge, Dolphin and Whale Tour, Organic Chocolate Farm Tour, and Rainforest Hiking Tour
Extreme Forest Park: “Experience the Forests of Costa Rica from a whole new perspective, whether its swinging from the top of a tree in the cloud forests or scaling the inside of a towering strangler fig before rappelling back down to solid ground. This tour will take you into three different types of forests: cloud forest, subtropical rainforest, and tropical rainforest. This is an activity you can feel good about afterwards since everything from the activities, the land, to the meals are provided by local people and help their community.” Santos Tours
Bio-Coffee Adventure-The Conscious Tour: Experience the realities behind the process of how coffee gets from the farm to your cup, as you learn about everything from the growing to the roasting of coffee beans … Of course what coffee tour is complete without a tasting opportunity. You will get a chance to taste the final coffee product on the farm where it is grown. During this tour you will be accompanied by local farmers who will show you why organic and sustainable farming techniques are so important.
Sea Kayaking: Enjoy the tranquil waters and breathtaking views of Golfo Dulce while sea kayaking in the early morning. The lush jungle covered mountains surround the green blue waters of the deep gulf, home to a variety of marine life from whales to corals, and everything in between. One of the most bio-diverse ecosystems on the planet.
Poas Volcano tour: Poas is a beautiful volcano with a spectacular view at the top of the cone. Inside the crater at the top of the volcano there is a lake with turquoise blue water. The volcano is active, and emits smoke, which contrasts the color of the blue lake. What an amazing natural site.
